About VitalTrack

As a group of ambitious University of Missouri students, we felt compelled to think big and create a product that makes a difference in the world. After touring and conversing with a number of senior living facilities, we quickly learned that resident care quality has been strained by staffing shortages and a lack of technology integration. Staff have trouble keeping tabs with most of their patients and their health, while patients as well do not always have the most awareness of their current health status. How can we help improve the health for those who live in these nursing homes while also reducing the strain on the existing staff?

The solution? VitalTrack: A wearable wrist device system that tracks key vital signs, integrating into software that sends alerts via phone notification or computer to designated healthcare staff. This simple fix has the potential to substantially reduce preventable hospitalizations and the understaffing burden by allowing care to be prioritized efficiently.

VitalTrack is designed to be simple and user-friendly. Our platform’s algorithm assesses the interaction of all vital metrics to suggest the specific health events that are at risk and the possible interventions. Therefore, a staff member does not need to know every intricacy of the software. Rather, alerts will be presented only when something is wrong and will give relevant details to allow an informed decision to be made.

Consider VitalTrack to optimize your care and enhance the well-being of both your residents and staff!
